Who we are

Calista Nutrition is a Dietetic and Nutrition practice operated by Margaret Donnelly, 2A Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin 3, Ireland. For the purposes of data-protection law, Margaret Donnelly, trading as Calista Nutrition, is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website — the contact form, and the emails or telephone calls you make to us after visiting it. It does not describe the clinical records kept when you become a client of the practice; how those records are handled is explained to clients directly.

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide it, your contact and consultation preferences, and the message you write. We use this information for one purpose only: to respond to your enquiry and, where you wish, to arrange an appointment. If you contact us by phone or email instead, we handle the details you give us in the same way and for the same purpose.

Our lawful basis

We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries that you choose to send us. You are never obliged to provide information, and providing less simply means we may need to ask when we speak.

Please don’t send health details through the form

The contact form is for general enquiries only. Please do not include confidential medical or clinical information — anything relevant to your consultation will be gathered securely when we speak. Health information is special-category data under the GDPR and receives additional protection. If you include such details in a message despite this notice, we will treat them confidentially, use them only to handle your enquiry, and delete them in line with the retention period below.

How long we keep enquiry information

Enquiries are kept only briefly. Contact-form submissions and the related emails are deleted within six months of the enquiry being resolved, unless you become a client of the practice — in which case the relevant details transfer to your client record, which is subject to the practice’s clinical record-keeping procedures.

Who can access your information

Enquiries are handled by Margaret Donnelly. Your information is stored in the website’s secure systems and in the practice email account, both protected by access controls. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, under their standard data-processing terms, solely so this website and its enquiry system can function:

• GoDaddy — website hosting.
• Microsoft 365 — the practice’s email service.
• Fluent Forms — the software that runs the contact form on this site.
• Brevo — delivery of the website’s outgoing notification emails.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — protection of the contact form against automated spam.
• Google Analytics — only if you consent to analytics cookies; see our Cookie Policy.

This website uses as few cookies as possible, and analytics cookies are set only with your consent. Full details, including how to change your choice at any time, are in our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability, subject to the limits set by law. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
