At Calista Nutrition we provide specialist dietary advice and treatment. Our three main objectives are – improve nutritional wellbeing, prevent food-related problems and treat disease.
We adopt a client centred approach and each person is treated on an individual basis.
Initial consultation may take up to one hour. The Dietitian carries out a nutritional assessment. This involves the use of a Body Composition Analyser which uses the latest Bio-electric Impedance Analysis Technology to measure body weight, percentage body fat and body mass index.
A dietary assessment is also carried out.
Based on these results and/or the presenting clinical condition the person is educated regarding his/her dietary treatment and follow-up is recommended as appropriate.
Calista Nutrition provides dietary information based on current scientific data.
Initial consultation is €80 and a follow-up visit is €45.
In Weight Management we set out strategies to help people attain realistic short and long term goals and to make steps to changing their behaviour. Using the Body Composition Analyser they can also see the changes in percentage body fat.
In people with a suspected Food Allergy / intolerance we work in helping identify the offending food / food group.
